Moorwood Swedish Dream Girl

Disa was our first sheltie. After a long search, we settled on kennel Moorwood in Sweden, contacted Birgitta Svarstad and a few months later Lilja flew from Brussels, where we lived, to Sweden, to fetch the little girl. She was an impossibly cute puppy and we fell in love.

Disa had excellent structure, good length of body, neck, tail, excellent angulation and flowing movements. She was 38cm, with substance and muscles to die for but the downsite of a rather strong head. For her first show I brought her to Sweden and showed her in junior class at the big Stockholm show, "Stora Stockholm" with an entry of 70 dogs. She became 2nd best bitch and took the cc. At Belgian shows, she always got excellent (and once a R-CACIB) for her structure, but her size was always an issue for the belgian judges who were used to the smaller sized shelties.

Disa lived a very happy life in Belgium, travelled with us when we had vacations and moved to Iceland with us 2004. She was never bred from and passed away in December 2007. She lives in our hearts.
