The  Ltd. is licensed as a Guesthouse/B&B by the police authorities of the City
of Reykjavík. The house is regularly inspected by the Health Authorities and the Fire Department.
In 2004 our license was extended and is valid until August 2010.

The has always participated voluntarily and proudly in the rigorous yearly quality
control of the Icelandic Tourist Board.
It was the first guesthouse in Reykjavík to be given a two star rating. is also a
founding member of the Icelandic Travel Industry Association (SAF).

After initial inquiries about availability and prices a booking in our house can be secured in one of the
following ways. We request our customers to provide us at the time of their booking with:
- Credit Card details, number and expiry date. This information may be send to us either by
fax (+354 562 6647) or in two seperate e-mails. We shall not use the credit card before the
arrival of our guests, except in case, where we need a payment because of cancellation or
"no show" (see below).
- Or a deposit payment of one third of the total cost.
- Or a direct deposit into our bank account. If this method is chosen, please ask us for our
banking details.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellation 28 days or more before planned arrival date: We will not charge a cancellation fee.
- If cancellation is, however, made between 28 and 7 days before the planned arrival: The fee will
be 25% of the total cost.
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the planned arrival: The cancellation fee will be 50% of the
total cost, at least the cost of one day's stay.
- In case of "No show": We will charge 100% of the total cost of the planned stay to the credit card.
If we fail to have a room available for a booking confirmed by us, we will find alternative accommodation for
our guests in a guesthouse of similar standard or in a hotel. If the rates in this alternative accommodation
are higher than ours, the price difference will be paid by us.
