Ad arborem
inversam
This piece was
commissioned by NOMUS and composed in 1979 at the request of
the Electronic Studio of the Norwegian Academy of
Music in Oslo where it was realized.
Ad arborem inversam in latin means "at the inverted
tree". The piece was created after reading stories about
trees which have roots in heaven and bear fruit on earth.
Birds and stones grow on these trees and they generate
fire.
